Marooned on a Desert Island
It was during his years pearl fishing among the islands of New Guinea that Henry Stewart Rohu suffered a series of unfortunate mishaps that led, at the end of 1895, to his being abandoned on a desert island by an unscrupulous business partner. His story of survival bears all the hallmarks and excitement of the Robinson Crusoe novel. You can read a full transcript of Henry's journal here.
